The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) North Central Zone, extends its warm congratulations to the Management and Governing Authorities of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, ably led by Dr. Hauwa Tanko Muhammad on the successful conduct of the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony, which took place on the 24th February 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the zonal body, the Coordinator of NAPS, North Central Region commended the leadership of the Polytechnic for its sustained commitment to academic excellence, institutional discipline, and the advancement of technical and vocational education in Nigeria. The seamless organization of the matriculation ceremony reflects strong administrative capacity and a continued dedication to maintaining high academic standards.
The Association acknowledges the strategic direction provided by the institution’s management and recognizes the matriculation milestone as evidence of the Polytechnic’s growth, credibility, and enduring reputation within Nigeria’s higher education landscape.
We also take this opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the presence and contributions of Mr. Vincent Martins , popularly known as VeryDarkMan, whose support to the institution remains commendable. His provision of a solar-powered borehole, hospital beds, waiting chairs for the school’s medical centre, provision of convenience facilities, enhancements at the bus park, and renovation of selected classrooms represent meaningful interventions that directly improve the welfare and learning environment of students.
Such contributions exemplify responsible civic engagement and underscore the importance of stakeholder participation in institutional development. Philanthropic efforts that strengthen infrastructure and student welfare are invaluable, and they contribute significantly to fostering a more conducive academic environment.
In his remarks at the event, Mr. Martins also encouraged students to remain focused and to avoid destructive behaviours such as drug abuse and cultism. His counsel emphasized the importance of discipline, responsibility, and proper conduct — values that align with the expectations of both the institution and the broader society.
Charge to Newly Admitted Students
NAPS North Central Zone congratulates the newly admitted students on earning admission into one of the nation’s respected polytechnics. This achievement represents not only an academic milestone but also a significant personal responsibility. Students are encouraged to embrace discipline, diligence, and integrity as guiding principles throughout their academic journey.
The Association further urges all matriculating students to remain focused on their studies, maximize available institutional resources, and actively pursue personal and professional development. Upholding academic honesty and maintaining responsible conduct will be essential to achieving long-term success.
Students are strongly advised to avoid any behavior that may jeopardize their future, including examination misconduct, substance abuse, violence, or other forms of indiscipline. The pursuit of education must be anchored on character, responsibility, and respect for institutional regulations.
