The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), North Central Zone, stands as a formidable regional structure of the umbrella body representing polytechnic students across Nigeria. As a critical stakeholder in the nation’s tertiary education ecosystem, NAPS North Central Zone exists to unify, advocate for, and advance the collective interests of students within federal, state, and private polytechnics across the North Central geopolitical region. The Zone serves as a structured platform through which students’ voices are harmonized, institutional challenges are escalated constructively, and developmental initiatives are implemented with measurable impact.

Operating under the framework of National Association of Polytechnic Students, the North Central Zone functions as both a policy-influencing body and a coordination hub for zonal institutions. It bridges communication gaps between campus-based Students’ Union Governments (SUGs), institutional managements, regulatory agencies, and national leadership structures. Through institutional representation, congresses, consultative forums, and strategic engagements, the Zone ensures that student welfare, academic quality, and administrative fairness remain central to discourse within the region.

The North Central Zone covers institutions across states within Nigeria’s North Central corridor, including but not limited to Kwara State, Kogi State, Niger State, Benue State, Plateau State, Nasarawa State, and the Federal Capital Territory. Within this geopolitical cluster, the Zone coordinates a diverse student population cutting across technology, engineering, business, environmental studies, applied sciences, and vocational disciplines. This diversity reinforces the Association’s mandate to promote technical and entrepreneurial education as a pillar of national development.
