In its ongoing institutional engagement drive, the Coordinator of the National Association of Polytechnic Students North Central Zone, Comrade Ahmed Peter Hassan, CNPS, alongside his executive delegation, paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Office of the Deputy Rector (Academic) at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa.
The delegation was received by Dr. Samuel James Obarokpo, a distinguished academic and administrator who has served the institution in several key capacities, including former Head of the Mathematics and Statistics Department, former Director of Naspoly Consultancy Limited (NCL), and former Acting Rector of the Polytechnic for a six-month tenure. His wealth of academic and administrative experience continues to contribute significantly to the institution’s growth and academic stability.
Recognizing Academic Leadership and Institutional Experience
During the engagement, Comrade Ahmed Peter Hassan expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Obarokpo’s longstanding service to the Polytechnic and his sustained contributions to academic excellence. He acknowledged the Deputy Rector’s leadership trajectory—from departmental administration to executive institutional management—as reflective of dedication, competence, and institutional loyalty.
The Coordinator emphasized that academic leadership forms the backbone of institutional success. The Office of the Deputy Rector (Academic) plays a central role in curriculum development, academic standards enforcement, examination coordination, accreditation processes, and overall academic policy implementation.

On behalf of the North Central Zone, the Coordinator extended formal appreciation to the Deputy Rector for his supportive disposition toward student leadership engagement. He further appealed for continued collaboration and constructive partnership aimed at advancing the academic welfare of Nigerian students within Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa and across the broader North Central region.
